Y Service Club MOW

The South Rowan Y Service Club is proud of the efforts of Project Leader, Bruce Miller, and local Club President, David Roberts for leading the club in helping the Meals On Wheels of Rowan County organization in March 2010. An informative program lead by the Executive Director of Meals On Wheels of Rowan County, Rita Sims, took place at the March meeting. With a mission to serve its community, the Y Service Club made a $200 donation to MOW and, more importantly, committed to delivering the meals on 7 routes in the China Grove area as a club. 12 Service Club members along with family members participated. This was a rewarding day for both those receiving the meals and the Y Service Club members who delivered them. March 25, 2010 was the Y Service Club's day to make a difference in the lives of others in the County through the MOW program. What a great experience!! Many thanks to all those who delivered and to all the club members for their support. The Service Club was recognized in the Meal on Wheels Monthly Newsletter for March.
